Student Grants
The Organising Committee will offer 10 merit-based grants providing reimbursement of the travel and accommodation expenses up to 700 Euro and will waive the registration fee to support registered full-time PhD students attending the Congress. Preferences will be given to the students presenting their work.
To apply for the grant, PhD student must email a completed “Student Grant Application Form” accompanied by the abstract of the accepted/submitted paper to the Congress coordinator Dr. Said Zouhdi, sz@ccr.jussieu.fr. The subject line of the email should contain the text: "Metamaterials’07 Student Grant Program -- LASTNAME", with the LASTNAME replaced by the applicant’s last name.
The grant application must be endorsed by the applicant's supervisor who should email the following details to sz@ccr.jussieu.fr. In the e-mail message, the supervisor is requested to confirm: (1) the student’s needs of the financial support and (2) an explicit commitment that if the grant is awarded, the balance of the student’s expenses for attending the Congress will be covered by the student’s institution or from other sources. The message subject line should contain the text: "Metamaterials’07 Student Grant Program NOMINATION -- LASTNAME" with LASTNAME replaced by the applicant’s last name.
All the grant application documents must be received by 12 April 2007. Applicants and their supervisors will be notified about the status of their applications by 14 May 2007
